Career Resources

Department of Epidemiology students and graduates benefit from a full range of career related programming provided by both GSPH and the University. They also may elect to attend a variety of career and internship networking events and job fairs.

Students should also discuss career path selection with their academic advisors, who are prepared to act as mentors by making recommendations based upon each individual’s strengths, while suggesting strategies for building relevant experience and skills.

The GSPH Career Services Office, under the leadership of Joan Anson, Director of Career Services, provides our students with the necessary support to help them build the skills, networking contacts and confidence they will need to successfully launch their career trajectories. Students are able to participate in workshops, career and internship fairs and networking events concerning fellowships, internship opportunities and job postings.

A wide variety of career services are also available through the University of Pittsburgh Career Development Office, including CV and portfolio assistance, facilitation of networking events, scheduling of mock interview sessions, assistance with strategies for job offer evaluation, and opportunities to connect with alumni interested in student mentoring.
